Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has insisted the Black Stars will be going all out for victory against Croatia while refusing to be drawn into the controversy surrounding Thomas Partey's absence.

Speaking alongside forward Antoine Semenyo at a pre-match press conference on Friday, June 26, ahead of Saturday's decisive World Cup clash, Queiroz addressed several key issues surrounding the team.

Asked about Partey's visa refusal by the Canadian authorities, the Portuguese coach declined to comment on the matter, instead directing questions elsewhere.

"You should ask the visa authorities in Canada," he said.

Turning his attention to the crucial meeting with Croatia, Queiroz stressed that Ghana's objective is clear.

The veteran coach said the Black Stars are preparing to win the match, insisting that where they eventually finish in the group is secondary to securing all three points.

Queiroz also dismissed suggestions that Ghana were overly defensive during their goalless draw with England, maintaining that his side did, in fact, attack whenever opportunities arose.

Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that his players could produce another spirited display.

"I hope that, with the inspiration of my players, we can produce good football on the pitch," he added.

Meanwhile, Semenyo revealed that Ghana had discussed the issue of football's "dark arts" during training, admitting that the squad intends to be more aggressive in protesting decisions when necessary.

"We spoke about the issue of dark arts in training today and will try to be more aggressive in our protests going forward," the Manchester City forward said.

He also backed the team's demanding tactical approach under Queiroz, particularly the defensive work required from attacking players.

"It is needed for the team," Semenyo explained.

With qualification to the knockout stage at stake, Ghana will be hoping to translate those words into another disciplined performance against Croatia.
