Raphinha is reportedly bankrupt
Barcelona and Brazil winger Raphinha has been linked with sensational claims that he is facing financial ruin after allegedly discovering his father had secretly controlled 80 percent of his image rights and career earnings throughout his professional career.
The story, first attributed to Brazilian celebrity journalist Leo Dias, claims Raphinha only became aware of the alleged situation when he and his wife attempted to purchase a luxury mansion.
According to the reports, the deal exposed a significant gap between the fortune the player believed he had accumulated and the money actually available to him.
The allegations have spread rapidly across social media, sparking widespread concern among football fans. Despite the viral nature of the reports, there has been no official confirmation from Raphinha, his representatives, or Barcelona.

In addition, people close to the player have reportedly dismissed the bankruptcy rumours, while some outlets have noted that the more dramatic aspects of the story remain unverified.
Raphinha is currently with Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, his campaign suffered a setback after he sustained an injury during Brazil’s 3-0 victory over Scotland in their final Group C match.
The extent of the injury is yet to be officially confirmed, with Brazil’s medical team continuing to assess his condition ahead of the knockout stages.
