Carlos Queiroz beating the drum during the jama session
Ghana’s World Cup camp was filled with rhythm and energy once again as the Black Stars continued their matchday ritual ahead of their clash with Croatia on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and this time, head coach Carlos Queiroz found himself right at the centre of it.
In a video released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Portuguese tactician was seen actively taking part in the team’s famous jama session, with players turning the camp into a lively cultural and motivational moment.
Queiroz was first spotted near the drum, where he appeared to take instruction from defender Alidu Seidu, who guided him on how to keep rhythm as the coach attempted to join in the music.
After a brief solo attempt, Queiroz eventually blended into the atmosphere as the entire squad gathered around, clapping, singing and chanting in unison.

The session quickly grew in intensity as players lifted the mood inside camp, fully embracing the tradition that has become a key part of Ghana’s team spirit during tournaments.
The Black Stars are now fully focused on their final group-stage match against Croatia, with qualification already secured but momentum still crucial heading into the knockout rounds.
