The former Italian international, who was on punditry duty for Men in Blazers, revealed his emotional connection to Ghana, hinting at his African roots while openly backing the Black Stars during the high-stakes Group L encounter.
“There is no Italy. So, obviously, I support Ghana. I’m from Ghana. I’m proud of them,” Balotelli said.
Ghana entered the match knowing their qualification for the Round of 32 was already secured.
