Black Stars winger Antoine Semenyo displaying his tattoos
Black Stars winger, Antoine Semenyo, has explained the inspiration behind his tattoos, which represent his beliefs and other experiences of his life.
He indicated that the majority of the drawings reflect his Christian faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, as well as his favorite Bible quotation, which serves as a reminder to him.
The forward noted that he is a staunch believer who takes his religion seriously and will continue to maintain a strong relationship with his Maker.

Speaking in an interview with GFA media, Semenyo revealed that he also included the birthday of his dog among his tattoos due to the strong bond they share.
"So, we’ve got my dog’s birthday. You’ve got my favorite verse in the Bible, Philippians 4:13. Yeah, you’ve got ‘fear God,’ and then you’ve got a dove, a lion, Jesus himself, and then the clouds of heaven, all embedded in a cross. And then Jesus’ hands as well.
"And I’ve got one on my back as well. Yeah, strong believer. He’s the only one I fear. He’s the one we live for, we die for, and you know, give him all the grace and glory. So I represent that on my arms. I don’t know what else I want to get. I think I need to see something," he said.
Semenyo is currently with the Black Stars, looking forward to making history with the team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup through his influential performances.
