Most importantly, Terry expressed his desire to meet Yaw Dabo and the entire squad at the academy to share moments with them and possibly assess their progress.

“Hi Samuel, my friend. It’s John Telly here. I’m only joking, it’s John Terry, guys. I just wanted to wish Samuel and his new soccer academy, the Dabo Soccer Academy, all the very best. Guys, I hope to get over and see you one day, but I wish you all the luck. Make sure you work hard and, more importantly, enjoy it, because what a fantastic opportunity. So I wish you well, and I hope to see you guys soon. Good luck, my friend,” Terry said in a video posted on his social media page.

Dabo gained global recognition when he approached the retired defender after Ghana’s goalless draw against England, repeatedly pronouncing his name as “John Telly.” The humorous moment fascinated many and eventually caught Terry’s attention.

The two appear to have built a strong bond and are expected to collaborate further to contribute to the progress of the academy.
