'It's always great to come home' - Fatawu Issahaku

Black Stars and Leicester City forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has praised the All Stars Festival, describing it as a perfect opportunity for footballers to reconnect with fans and give back to the country.

Speaking after the All-Stars festival at the University of Ghana Stadium on July 11, 2026, Fatawu said the event was all about having fun, showing appreciation to Ghanaians, and enjoying quality time with fans.

"We are just here to have fun and to show love for our country and the people because we always get support from them wherever we play. It's always good to come back, see the people and have fun," he said.

The 22-year-old added that the annual event has become something players look forward to and expressed gratitude to everyone who turned up.

"It was a fun game, and I really loved it. It's something we do every year, and I just want to thank everyone for coming. I hope next year those who couldn't make it will come, so we can make it even more fun."

Fatawu also highlighted how valuable such occasions are for players during the off-season.

"It's always great to come back home and spend time with the people. In football, whenever you get some free time, you use it to rest."
