Nations FC names Croatian Zdravko Logarušić as new head coach

Nations FC have officially announced the appointment of Croatian tactician Zdravko Logarušić as the club's new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

The 61-year-old arrives with more than two decades of coaching experience, having managed clubs and national teams across Africa, Europe and Asia.

Logarušić is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having previously coached King Faisal in the Ghana Premier League.

He also boasts extensive international experience, having managed the national teams of Sudan, Zimbabwe, South Sudan and Togo, earning a reputation for building competitive sides in challenging environments.

His appointment comes at a crucial time for Nations FC as the club prepares for its maiden campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup following a historic 2025/26 season.

Founded in 2021, Nations FC has rapidly established itself as one of the fastest-rising clubs in Ghanaian football.

After securing promotion from Division One, the Abrankese-based side made its Ghana Premier League debut in the 2023/24 season and impressed with a strong first campaign.

The club built on that momentum by enjoying a remarkable 2025/26 season, finishing among the league's top sides and clinching the MTN FA Cup to secure a place in continental football for the first time in its history.

With continental football on the horizon, the club has turned to the vastly experienced Croatian to lead the next phase of its ambitious project.

In a statement confirming the appointment, Nations FC described Logarušić as a coach with a wealth of international experience capable of driving the club's vision forward.

"Nations FC is pleased to confirm the appointment of Zdravko Logarušić as Head Coach of the club. The Croatian tactician joins Nations FC with over two decades of coaching experience, having led clubs and national teams across Africa, Europe and Asia," the club announced.
