Ghanaian sprinter Anita Afrifa will be eager to continue her impressive relay journey after securing a place in the national team for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Afrifa has been selected to compete in the women's 200m and the 4x100m relay as Ghana names a six-member women's athletics squad for the Games.

The talented sprinter has become an important member of Ghana's women's relay team in recent years, helping the country secure medals at major continental competitions.

She was part of the quartet that won bronze in the women's 4x100m relay at the 2024 African Games in Accra, delivering a memorable performance in front of home supporters.

Afrifa also featured in Ghana's relay team that claimed bronze at the 2024 African Championships in Douala, underlining the team's growing consistency against Africa's top sprint nations.

Her selection for Glasgow is a reward for her continued contribution to Ghana's relay success.
