Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo
Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has revealed that his family wants him to move to the Saudi Pro League despite receiving offers from clubs in Europe.
The midfielder is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Real Oviedo in Spain’s La Liga and is considering his next move.
Sibo featured prominently for the Black Stars during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, partnering with Thomas Partey to marshal the midfield and help Ghana advance to the Round of 32, where they were eliminated by Colombia.

Speaking in an interview with Lawson TV on July 27, 2026, Sibo disclosed that he has received offers from clubs in England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia, but his family strongly prefers he joins a Saudi Pro League side.
He explained that some relatives are actively encouraging him to make the move.
“So far I have had offers from England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia as well. My family wants me to go to Saudi; they don’t want to hear about the other countries. One of my relatives is very keen about it,” Sibo said in Twi during the interview.
Reports indicate that Sibo has attracted interest from Hull City, Greek side PAOK, Saudi club Al Qadsiah, and others.
