Mbengue keeps Senegal's WAFCON hopes alive with Kenya winner

Seynabou Mbengue's first-half strike earned Senegal a crucial 1-0 victory over Kenya to revive their Women's Africa Cup of Nations campaign on Thursday.

The decisive moment came in the 35th minute, when Mbengue finished off a well-worked move after being picked out by Ndeye Casset, handing the Lionesses of Teranga their first points of the tournament.

Senegal held firm despite sustained second-half pressure from Kenya, whose attempts struck the woodwork on three occasions.
