Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo registered his name among the goal contributions as Manchester City drew 1-1 against Inter Milan in a pre-season friendly.

The match, played on August 1, 2026, in Hong Kong, saw both sides compete fiercely as players looked to sharpen up ahead of the new season.

In the 14th minute, Semenyo picked up the ball on the left wing, dribbled past his marker, and delivered a precise pass. The ball split the Milan defence and found Divin Mubama, who smashed it into the net to give City the lead.

Inter equalised in the 20th minute through Benjamin Pavard, and the Italian side eventually won on penalties.

The former Bournemouth winger was lively throughout, posing a constant threat to Inter’s defence. He attempted a long-range shot from the centre circle that went narrowly wide. Semenyo completed the most dribbles (4) and tied for the most chances created (3), establishing himself as one of the standout performers.

He was substituted in the second half as head coach Enzo Maresca took charge of his first game as City boss since succeeding Pep Guardiola.

Semenyo is expected to play a key role in Maresca’s system as City aim to compete for the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and other major competitions, maintaining the high standards set under Guardiola.
