Cristiano Ronaldo set to marry Georgina Rodríguez in lavish wedding

Legendary football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to marry his long-time fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez, with plans for a lavish wedding ceremony already underway.

According to British media outlet The Sun, the reception will take place at the five-star Savoy Palace Hotel on the island of Madeira, where Ronaldo was born and raised.

The wedding ceremony is expected to be held at the cathedral in Funchal, the island’s capital, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, marking a new chapter in the couple’s relationship.

An anonymous source told The Sun that guests had been informed that two floors of the hotel would be reserved for the event on Friday and Saturday.

It was also reported that several bars in the area had been booked for related celebrations.

“Guests at the hotel have been told two floors will be out of use on Friday and Saturday, as well as several bar areas,” the source said.

The former Manchester United forward currently plays in Saudi Arabia, where he won the league title during the 2025/2026 season.

Ronaldo met Georgina, who is of Spanish-Argentinian descent, in 2016 and proposed to her in August 2025. The couple were recently spotted wearing diamond rings while boarding a yacht in Majorca.

Ronaldo had previously revealed that he and Georgina planned to get married after the World Cup, and the wedding is now set to take place.
