Usain Bolt proposes to girlfriend Kasi Bennett after 13 years together

Usain Bolt has taken the next step in his long-term relationship with girlfriend Kasi Bennett after proposing to her during his 40th birthday celebration.

The Jamaican sprinting legend surprised Bennett with the proposal in front of family and friends gathered for his milestone birthday, turning the celebration into an unforgettable moment for the couple.

Bolt and Bennett were standing together on stage and speaking to guests when the eight-time Olympic champion suddenly dropped to one knee.

The crowd erupted in applause and excitement as Bolt asked: “Would you make me the happiest man in the world and please marry me?”

Bennett was visibly stunned by the surprise, with her reaction captured in photos and videos she later shared on her Instagram stories.

Bolt then slipped a five-carat oval-shaped diamond ring onto her finger, leaving Bennett emotional as she wiped away tears before showing off her new engagement ring.

In one of her posts, Bennett shared a photo of her shocked expression with the caption: “This about sums up the night. My face”, accompanied by melting and cry-laughing emojis.

The proposal was particularly unexpected because Bennett had reportedly been involved in planning Bolt’s 40th birthday party without knowing that he had prepared a surprise of his own.

The couple began dating in 2013 and have been together for more than a decade.

They have three children: daughter Olympia Lightning and twin sons Thunder and Saint Leo.
