Asante Kotoko sign six new foreign players ahead of new season

Asante Kotoko have completed deals for six foreign players as the club intensifies preparations for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

Transfer updates, as reported by sports journalist Shaban Mohammed, the Porcupine Warriors have strengthened various departments of their squad with the acquisition of players from across Africa, including Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Morocco and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Among the new additions is Ivorian centre-back Koffi Marius Ange Bini, who joins to bolster Kotoko's defensive options.

Burkinabe midfielder Abdoul Kader Tarnagda has also completed his move to the Kumasi-based club, while Cameroonian midfielder Solomon Nsor Asaah arrives from AS Fortuna de Mfou.

Kotoko have further secured the services of Moroccan goalkeeper Abdel Wadie Mourad, formerly of FC Basania. Mourad, who joins as a free agent, has reportedly signed a three-year contract with the club.

DR Congo defender Aristote Tamuzi has also been added to the squad, alongside Ivorian winger Eric Gbetta.

The signing of the six foreign players underlines Kotoko's ambition to assemble a stronger squad ahead of the new campaign as the club seeks to compete for domestic honours.
