'If you lose a home game, definitely you will be disappointed' - Ibrahim Tanko

Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his disappointment after his side suffered a 1-0 home defeat to TP Mazembe in the first qualifying round of the CAF Champions League.

Tanko admitted that Medeama created several scoring opportunities but failed to convert them.

“If you lose a home game, definitely you will be disappointed. The good thing is that we created a lot of chances in which we would have scored some goals, but unfortunately we couldn't and that's football,”he stated.

The coach said Medeama pushed for an equaliser in the second half, but were punished on the counter-attack as Mazembe secured the only goal of the game.

Tanko also acknowledged the team's recurring problem in front of goal, a weakness he believes can only be addressed through consistent training.

“I think there is only one way to solve that problem. You have to practice,”he added.
