Alhaji Grusah is the owner of King Faisal FC
King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Grusah has alleged that clubs in Ghana risk relegation if they openly criticize the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
According to the veteran football administrator, fear of victimization has created an environment where clubs are reluctant to challenge decisions or speak against the leadership of the Kurt Okraku-led GFA.
Speaking on Onua FM on Monday, October 5, 2026, Grusah claimed that clubs could face sporting consequences for criticizing the football governing body.
“Even now Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are afraid to speak up because they would be threatened with relegation,” he said.

Grusah further accused the GFA of fostering cronyism, intimidation and victimization, arguing that such practices are undermining the development of Ghanaian football.
He called on Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams to compel the GFA leadership and the Black Stars Management Committee to resign or dissolve the football association.
“Let them resign immediately before we play our next match. I am not a prophet but if they resign, Ghana will qualify inshallah. I plead with every Ghanaian to rise up and demonstrate against this FA,” he said.
He further questioned the progress of Ghana’s youth national teams under Okraku’s administration.
“A player who is not being managed by the leaders of the football association will not get the chance to play for the Black Stars no matter how good the player may be. Where are the Under 17, Under 20, and Under 23 national teams since Kurt Okraku became the GFA president?” he quizzed.
