L-R Nevada Pierre, Tobenna Uchendu, Zayn Salman and Aaron Raphael
Three-year-old Nevada Pierre has become an unlikely talking point in world football after a youth soccer game in Florida ended with police officers intervening in a dispute involving his parents and league officials.
Pierre went viral after videos showed him displaying impressive dribbling skills, running past older children and scoring goals during a match in Winter Park.
His parents alleged that their son was being sidelined because of his superiority over other children, with the situation eventually escalating into a confrontation that brought police to the venue.
However, police records indicated that officers were responding to a dispute between the adults, rather than a complaint about the child’s footballing ability. Nobody was arrested.
