Rahim Ayew, one of the three sons of Ghana legend Abedi Ayew Pele, has revealed to Citi Sports in an exclusive interview that he and his brothers have been hoping for an opportunity to play together in a Black Stars game.

Whilst Rahim and André played together at the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola 2010, Jordan also played alongside André in Ghana’s matches with Swaziland and Sudan in the 2012 nation’s cup qualifiers.

The only three brothers to have played together in a national team at the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South are the Palacious brothers made up of Wilson Palacious, Jerry and John Palacious.

Rahim Ayew is confident the Ayew brothers will achieve this feat, which he says will be historic.

Rahim, who plies his trade with Lierse in Belgium, was speaking on Citi FM’s Sports Talk Show “Half Time”, on Wednesday June 15.

“We want to be in the Guinness Book of Records. We want to set a big record so that Ghana’s name will also be in the Guinness book of record. We have often had two brothers playing together in a team at national or club level. But for us to be three, it is definitely going to be in the Guinness Book of Record".

"So we have been talking about that a lot and we are working hard just like the way I and Dede said we were going to play together in the national team and we did. So for now we just pray that God should give us more life so that all of us will be in the national team, play together and start at the same time” he said
