Ghana's Black Stars will face their South African counterparts, Bafana Bafana and PSL side Kaizer Chiefs as part of preparations for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The four-time winners will fine-tune their preparation for the continental showpiece event with the two games during their training camp in South Africa.
The Black Stars will pitch camp in the South African city of Rustenburg to wrap up preparations for the continental showpiece football event. The Ghanaian team has fond memories of the mining-city after the huge support they received during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
According to the programme outlined by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the Black Stars will be in South Africa from 7-19 January, 2012 and will train at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
On January 12, they will face Kaizer Chiefs before engaging the Bafana Bafana at the same venue three days later. The two high-profile games will afford coach Goran Stevanovic the opportunity to rehearse tactics and techniques with his charges ahead of the final tournament.
The Black Stars will depart for Gabon on the eve of the opening ceremony of the 28th edition of the continental showpiece soccer event.
Ghana are housed in Group D alongside debutants Botswana, Mali and Guinea.
The Black Stars will launch their campaign against the Zebras of Botswana on January 24 in Franceville, square Mali four days later before wrapping up against Guinea on February all in Franceville.
The Ghanaian team were losing finalists at the last edition held in Angola in 2010. Egypt beat them 1-0 in the final.
Meanwhile, coach Stevanovic will unveil his squad for the tournament on Thursday, December 15 at a press conference in Accra.
