Results of first round of Brong-Ahafo “Zone 2B” Second Division football matches matches

The first round of the Brong-Ahafo REgion “Zone 2B” Second Division football league matches ended at the weekend with Nkoraman Football Club of Seikwa fortifying their lead with a 1-0 home win over Berekum Raja F/C.

Nkoraman who played four matches of the five-team competition in the zone won three and lost one, thus topping the zone with nine points.

The leaders tasted the only defeat at Biadan where Biadan Great Heroes beat them 2-1.

The Seikwa team, under the a directorship of Nana Kobirie, Nkosuohene of Seikwa, felled Jaffa United of Jinijini 1-0 in the maiden fixture of the competition at Jinijini then walloped Fetentaa All Stars 4-1 at Seikwa before beating Raja F/C of Berekum 4-2 in an away encounter.

In the “Zone 1A” competition, Nsoatreman F/C of Nsoatre, despite their 0-3 away defeat to Fiapre Union Rovers to complete the first round of the six-team competition in the zone, managed to top the table with seven points.

Results of the first round final-pairing matches of the other zones were in “zone 1B” where Sunyani Aston Villa succumbed 0-1 to visiting Tano F/C, while Chiraa Gyako F/C who also travelled to Sunyani bowed 0-3 to Liberty Youth, with Sunyani Suncity defeating another Sunyani-based team, Soccer Stars 1-0.

Sunyani Mom F/C played a 3-3 drawn game with local rivals, Hamburg and Chiraaman of Chiraa remained at home and drew 1-1 with rival side Bectero in the pairings under “Zone 1C”.

In “Zone 2A”, Biadan Barcelona shared the points with 1-1 draw against Seikwa Soccer Professionals at Biadan, while in “Zone 6A” Debiso-Bia Stars won 1-0 against Nkrankwanta Arhman F/C at Debiso-Bia, Dormaa Golden Academicals played 1-1 with Debiso Royal Stars at Dormaa with Dormaa Tottenham traveled to play nil-nil with Future Stars.

All the three matches in “Zone 6B” ended with each side scoring a goal. The pairings were Kyeremasu Saviour Stars versus Wamfie Super Zions at Kyeremasu, Asuotiano F/C against Wamfie Asuowam at Asuotiano while Dormaa Sporting Club played Wamanafo Mighty Royals at Dormaa.

At “Zone Seven” Duayaw-Nkwanta Tano Ajax defeated Tepa Evergreen 2-0 at Duayaw-Nkwanta and Bomaa A.C Milan played goalless with rival team, Bomaa Tigers, while Nkoranza Everton nailed Yeji Lazio 2-0 at Nkoranza and Akuma Smilling Cosmos also played one-one with Nkoranza Argentailor at Akuma in “Zone 10”.

Meanwhile, results of matches played on Sunday by six other zones expected to complete their first round matches by February 26, 2012 were in “Zone Three”, where Aston Villa of Konsia beat Drobo Bar Barcelona 2-1 at Konsia, Adamsu Manchester whipped Sampa United 3-0 at Adamsu and Japekrom Mpuasuman won 1-0 over Nyamman F/C of Nyam.

Hoffenham of Kenyasi drew 2-2 with Akrodie Nokia Boys at Kenyasi in their “Zone Four” encounter, while in “Zone 5A” Kintampo Marcus ended one-one with rival team, Zamalek also of Kintampo in their local derby, Kintampo Destroyers beat Dega All Stars, also from Kintampo 1-0 and Kintampo Top Talent also won 2-1 over Kintampo Sharp Arrows.

At “Zone Eight”, Debibi Aku Stars played 2-2 with Nwoase Unity Sporting Club at Debibi, Banda Youngsters succumbed 1-2 to Wenchi Heroes at Banda, Wenchi United thrashed Banda Mountains 6-1 at Wenchi while Amponsakrom Black Stones bowed 1-2 to Nchiraa Rangers, with Kuntuso Zimbo Stars winning 2-1 over Techiman Olympics at Kuntuso, Twimeso Celtic spanked Tuobodom Santos 2-0, with Tuobodom Sandy trouncing Offuman Asuokyiridi 3-0 at Tuobodom under the “Zone Nine” pairings.
