I'm surprised Baffour couldn't break my record: Ex Hearts Striker

Record top scorer in the history of the Ghana Premier league Ishmael Addo says he is surprised Emmanuel Baffour could not equal his record goal scoring achievement of 22 in a single season.

Emmanuel Baffour kept banging in the goals and was only a goal shy of equaling Ishmael Addo’s record of the premier league era with three matches to end the season but the 22 year old striker moved in and out of the country for trials and medicals in Turkey, thereby missing six crucial games in the process.

Many believe the Europe bound player could have set a new premier league scoring record if he had played more than the 24 matches.

According to Ishmael Addo whose goal scoring record in three seasons stands at 60 explains to JOY Sports Baffour could have done more.

“I was hoping he had broken the record because he played very well this season”.

“It is rather unfortunate he couldn’t do that but I would have wished that for him because records are set to be broken”
