Andre Ayew will meet the Ghana Football Association deadline by apologizing for his unruly behaviour on international duty, the player's uncle has confirmed.
Sola Ayew says the Olympique Marseille will grovel for his indiscretion.
Ayew, 22, walked off angrily after he was substituted in last Saturday's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi in Lilongwe.
He refused to shake hands with the sub and his teammates on the bench.
The Ghana FA gave with a seven-day ultimatum which ends on Saturday to apologize to the head coach Kwesi Appiah and his teammates or face sanctions.
"Andre (Ayew) will apologize, he has one week to do so and I know the boy (Andre) will do it within the given time frame," Sola, a former Hearts of Oak player, said.
"He told me what he did after he was substituted from the game and I told him point blank he was wrong.
"I have spoken to him on three separate occasions and I have made it clear to him he was wrong.
''To be honest with you this is one problem football stars face. They might feel they have something to offer and therefore they don’t want to come off.
Ayew's behaviour has commanded a lot of air time on radio and inches in the print media.
This has battered the image of the former Ghana U20 captain and that has been a worry for the Ayew family.
''In such cases they feel they should be notified ahead of time before getting substituted," Ayew added.
''But for me, that shouldn’t be the case and I have made it clear to him.
''This is a unique issue on its own and therefore analysis of it should be made on its own merits and not be associated it with others.
''I don’t like the way this issue is being handled and we as a family are also not happy with the way things are going.
"We know the coach and the management of the Black Stars are capable of handling this issue with no problems at all."
