Dutchman Hans Van Der Pluym says he tendered in his resignation at the Berekum Chelsea before the club dissolved the entire technical team.
It was reported on Tuesday that the club's management had sacked technical director Hans Van Der Pluym, Head coach Yusif Abubakar, Goalkeepers’ trainer Justice Quarcoo, Team manager Nii Akrofi Smart-Abbey, Physio Daniel Mensah and Equipment Officer Fusseini Mohammed after missing out on the Ghana Premier League title.
"I tendered in my resignation letter even before our last game on Sunday, I told Nana Kwame that I was not going to continue with the work because I wasn’t happy,” Coach Hans Van Der Pluym told Joy sports.
“If they are citing reasons for our inability to win the premier league then is up to them.
“I’m not worried at all because I had already taken my decision of quitting the club.”
Pluym led Berekum Chelsea to that impressive performance in last season’s CAF Champions league where the team finished the competition in the money zone.
