Footy-ghana.com can exclusively reveal that the 2013/2014 Premier League will kick off on September 15 2013.
According to our sources, this date, which would soon be made public, was ratified by the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association a few days ago.
Footy-ghana.com understands that a tentative kick off date of September 8 had been mooted by the Premier League Board.
The date was however changed to September 15 due to the fact that Ghana’s Black Stars will face Zambia in a crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier in Kumasi on September 7.
In a related development, footy-ghana.com understands that the Premier League Board would endeavor to finish the first round of the Premier League in mid-December, in order to allow the Local Black Stars prepare adequately for the 2014 African Nations Championships (CHAN) in South Africa in January 2014.
