13 year old Adelaide Akweley Armah,
a student of Right to Dream Academy admires how journalists work and once wanted
to become a media person until she dreamt of playing football for Ghana.
Thinking it was just a dream her
parents, Mr. Solomon an Faustina Armah never allowed her to be in dangerous war
zones so she joined a group of female footballers for a justification
exercise organized by Crystal Ladies Football Club and out of over 200 players,
she alongside eight others were selected into the Right to Dream.
Akwele who attended Bethany Academy is
certainly among the next generation of disciplined sports people who Ghana
would boast of.
Now that her dream of training in an
international facility has been fulfilled, she wants to train and become a
popular figure.
Akwele, a very fast learner said the
Right to Dream Academy has made her known many things and met very important
people.
She said football is her life and
she prays to achieve much success in her chosen field. Her ambition is to be
selected into the Black Maidens and play at the FIFA World Cup.
She wants to meet the greatest
players like Leo Messi, C Ronaldo, Asamoah Gyan and others and she believes
football will lead her.
Adelaide Armah expressed her
gratitude to the care takers, coaches, physios, trainers and teachers of the
Academy. She noted that without these very caring teachers and mentors the
students cannot make it big, but because they are good, the products of the
Academy instantly become world heroes and stars.
Her idol is Asamoah Gyan and she
prays that he leads the Black Stars of Ghana to a successful World Cup
adventure in Brazil.
