An imperious Heart of Lions side consigned relegation-trapped Amidaus Professionals to a 3-1 defeat at their own backyard in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The Kpando-based side have secured a ticket for next season’s CAF Champions League and would be representing Ghana as they have a better head-to-head advantage over Hearts of Oak.

Lions’ victory was inspired by the continental ambitions and mercilessly hammered a poor Amidaus side.

Mohammed Razir and Idan Conney scored within 3 minutes in the first-half (28th and 31st minutes) to put Lions ahead but Isaac Owusu gave Amidaus hope when he scored in the 38th minute.

Twelve minutes into the second half Nana Poku was presented with a chance to fire them level but he blasted a penalty wide.

Prince Acquah punished them nine minutes from time with third goal of the game.
