Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has said he is not going to be bothered about the scoreline in the Ghana –South Korea pre-World Cup friendly.
The two sides clash on Monday at 11:00 PM local time in Miama to finalise their preparations for the 2014 World Cup which kicks off on Thursday.
Appiah’s side lost their first pre-World Cup friendly 1-0 to the Netherlands. The former Ghana captain is yet to record a win against a non-African side since he took over as Black Stars coach in April, 2012.
But ending that trend is not his focus now, as he continues to look out for player arrangements and the testing of systems.
“Friendly games are good to help you prepare. Psychologically, it’s good to win to boost your confidence levels," Appiah told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
“On the other side, I am looking at tactically how we will play, and the individual roles assigned to the players.
“Scorelines are always good, but most of the times it depends on the team that you put up. For instance if that is your best team, then you think they should give you results.
“But if it is a team you are trying to assess, then you look at it from a different angle.”
Ghana will open their Group G campaign next week Monday when they take on the Yanks of the USA.
