“Christophe Galtier will not recruit players capable of playing the sectional African Nations Cup in January,” a club spokesperson told La Provence.

“Jordan Ayew and Algerian striker Aissa Mandi of Stade Reims will all not be signed this summer.”

Ayew who is also on the wanted list of Lille, Lyon, Nice, Schalke and others spent the second half of last season on loan at Sochaux where he netted five goals. He has just a year left on his Marseille contract.
