Societe General Ghana, a universal bank, has held a day's multi-disciplinary sporting competition at the Paa Joe Stadium, Kumasi, with a call on the staff to take keen interest in physical exercises.
Mr. Francois Marchal, Deputy Managing Director of the bank, said exercises helped to keep the body in good shape and also improves one's sense of endurance and discipline.
That, he said, if translated to the work place was necessary to enhance general work output for increased productivity.
The competition, targeting branches of the bank in the northern sector of its operational area, saw the participants compete for honours in football, volleyball, netball and amongst others.
Winners of the various disciplines were presented with trophies.
Mr. Marchal told the GNA Sport that the programme was also designed to deepen inter-staff working relationship.
