Charles Taylor rules out local league, wants move abroad

Injury-plagued former Hearts of Oak playmaker Charles Taylor has vowed that he will not play in the local league as he is focusing on grabbing a deal with a foreign club.

Taylor, who is a free agent after being released by Berekum Chelsea, claims he has received several offers to play for Ghanaian sides in the upcoming league season.

The skillful midfielder, who also excited fans while playing for Kotoko and Great Olympics, says he is fed up with the way players are treated in Ghana and wants to move abroad to continue with his career.

“I have had enough of the Ghanaian football and I have decided not to play the local league again,” Taylor said.

“Though some clubs in Ghana are calling me for my services but the truth is I have made up my mind not to play the local league because sometimes I get fed up with some things and my focus is to move outside,” he added.

Taylor’s career with littered with controversial transfers with his move from Olympics to Hearts generating some commentary after earlier agreeing to play for Kotoko.

However he joined the Porcupines in 2003 in another controversial move but he failed to make the desired impact at the Porcupine Warriors because of injuries.
