Red-hot Ghanaian sensation Mercy Darkoah recorded her third hat-trick of the season to power Bellevue University to a resounding 4-1 win over Central Baptist College in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference game over the weekend.
Darkoah scored twice in the first half to put BU up 2-0 at the break and completed her hat trick in the 54th minute with assists from sophomore Lauren Clark to take her goal tally to 18.
Central Baptist would get one goal back when Brandy Villasana took a Tarra Hendricks pass and scored to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Darkoah has been an outstanding goal scoring freak this term and in pole position to win the Player of the Season for the Bruins.
Bellevue will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday with a Senior Day match-up against MCAC foe Waldorf College.
