Ex-Hearts chief Harry Zakkour has launched a vicious attack on Kwesi Nyantakyi and wants him booted out as Ghana FA boss claiming the astute football administrator is ‘finished’.

The Lebanese-born former Hearts of Oak leader claimed Nyantakyi lacks new ideas to take Ghana football forward following the country’s wrecked World Cup campaign and must give way to others.

Zakkour’s recent criticism of the administrative style of the CAF Executive committee member comes on the heels of a similar call from ex-football stars Sammy Kuffuor and Laryea Kingson who are bent on seeing the back of the country’s football chief.

“If you look at Ghana football, don’t blame the teams blame the GFA. Nyantakyi should go. Osei Kuffuor has said it. Lots of people have said it, he’s finished,” the celebrated former Hearts Board chairman told Adom FM.

“All his ideas are finished. He has nothing again to give to Ghana football. All the sixteen teams are not playing the league. In which country can this happen, he quizzed.

“Only in Ghana can this happen. It’s because he’s only thinking about the Black Stars and it’s not good for this country.

He claimed the country’s football is on ice and wants a rapid change at the leadership.

“Ghana football is totally dead. How many people go to the stadium? There is no football, there is no competition.

“As at now you can’t choose your own coach? Always lobbying and bringing nothing positive to the team.

Zakkour is an avid critic of Nyantakyi and clashed with him during a forum of eminent personalities to review the country’s football strategy in July this year.

A well-oiled media campaign calculated to damage Nyantakyi is well underway with Ghana’s poor showing at the World Cup as its trump card – brushing aside the successes chalked by Ghana under his leadership.
