Ghana will play South Africa in their annual Polo Championship at the Accra Polo Grounds on Saturday, November 22.
Kwakye Dopua-Dei, Captain of the Accra Polo Club who announced this in Accra on Monday, said the game christened ‘’South Africa Airways Polo Shield’’ forms part of activities marking the 80th Anniversary celebration of the airline.
He said that last year, Ghana lost to the South Africans and that his team was ready and well psyched to avenge their defeat on Saturday.
“”We are very much ready. My players have intensified their training so we are very much prepared for the South Africans.”’
He said South Africa’s partnership with the Club had helped the sport to grow steadily in the country.
Players expected to feature for Ghana include Amanda Blair, David Awuah-Darko, George Agyemang, Pablo and Dopua-Dei.
