Razak In Trouble

Tue, 6 May 2003 Source: Eric VINCENT

Ibrahim Razak returned to his French club side, Saint-Etienne, last week, after going "missing" for a month. The manager and the coach of Saint-Etienne are very angry with the Ghanaian international.

The midfielder left France about a month ago to play for Ghana in the four nations tournament in Tunsia. After the tournament, he went to Ghana to attend the funeral of his grandmother and that was the last the club heard of him.

He has been asked to train with the "B" team and will probably never played with the "A" again for the rest of the season.

Razak leaves Saint-Etienne back to Empoli (Italia) at the end of this season, since the French club want nothing to do with him again. The player was on loan from the Italian club, with an option to buy.

Lawrence Quaye is still with the club and played 80 minutes on the last match (Ch?teauroux/Saint-Etienne 1-1). He had a very good game. Saint-Etienne is 10th and will stay in Ligue 2.
