Dominic Oduro
Manchester City have parted ways with former Ghana youth international Dominic Oduro, two years after signing him from the renowned Academy Right to Dream, the Premier League giants announced on their website.
The 20-year-old right-back / midfielder, who is on loan at Swedish second-tier side IK Frej, will not return to Etihad Stadium when his loan deal ends and will have to prove his worth to land a permanent stay with the Kyrkrattorna, according to reports.
Oduro never had the chance to play a single match with the Citizens and his loan moves to Danish side Aarhus and Belgian club Mouscron Peruwelz between 2013 and 2014 were blighted by injuries.
City currently have only four Ghanaians in their fold namely Godsway Donyoh, who is on loan at Falkenberg FF in Sweden, Bismark Adjei-Boateng at Stromsgodset, Divine Naah at Nac Breda and Black Satellites winger Yaw Yeboah.
Oduro plays as a right-back and also on the right flank, and was considered as one of the most talented players to emerge from Right to Dream Academy based in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Speaking to Goal earlier this year, Oduro stated that he was happy at IK Frej because the coaches believe in his abilities and have so much confidence in him.
