Asante Kotoko
The organisers of the Otumfuo invitational tournament have settled on Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold for the competition which will come off on Sunday 20 September, 2015 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
The competition is organized to honour the sitting Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who will be in attendance to grace the occasion.
The Miners will come for a revenge, after having lost their last two visits to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, losing 2-0 in the semifinals of the MTN FA Cup and 1-0 in the second round of the league.
However, they won both their two encounters against the Porcupine Warriors in Kumasi prior to the start of the league.
These two clubs are not in good terms at the moment, following the decision of the Miners to lodge a protest against Kotoko for using an unqualified player against them in their 0-1 loss in the league.
