Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie says he is happy that suspended Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is enjoying his football again in Milan.

The 28-year-old talented yet controversial midfielder opened his accounts for the Rossoneri’s in their much needed 2-0 victory over title-chasing Fiorentina.

Boateng, who has a record of chronic knee injuries, has looked sharp and lively in Milan, something which has attracted the praise of boss Sinisa Mihajlovic after the game against Fiorentina on Sunday.

The former Schalke 04 midfielder’s rich footballing career has been painted with controversies, one of which has copped him an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars after battling with then coach Kwesi Appiah.

But Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie, might have hinted of a possible return to the national team in the future for Boateng by wishing him well on his second return to Milan.

“Boateng is a Ghanaian like we are all and I wish him well in what he is doing at Milan now,” Ghana Football Association vice president George Afriyie told Accra-based Citi-FM

With just 15 caps for Ghana, Boateng has played in two separate world cups for the West Africa nation with two goals to his name.
