Despite his side’s solitary loss to Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday night, Hasaacas head coach Yusif Basigi says his defense is improving.

The Sekondi-based side has the leakiest defense in the league with twelve goals in five matches but after conceding one against Asante Kotoko, Basigi is happy his defense is improving.

“I know we have a problem with our defense but we are improving. We conceded three goals in our opening league game against Wa All Stars, conceded two against Techiman City and five against WAFA but we have improved in our last two games,” Basigi said after the match.

“In our last two games, we have conceded one each which is better over the previous games. I am happy with the defense in this game and we are improving.”

The win over Hasaacas is Kotoko’s first in the season after a winless run in the first four matches played in the league.

Hasaacas will welcome Berekum Chelsea at the Essipong Sports Stadium in Takoradi in their next league fixture.
