Malaga to examine Atsu over Ghana injury

Malaga will examine the extent of injury suffered by wideman Christian Atsu while on international duty with Ghana.

Atsu, 24, suffered an injury during Ghana's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique in Accra on Thursday.

The on loan Malaga star failed to recover in time for the reverse fixture in Maputo on Sunday and will further be assessed by the Spanish side upon return.

The Ghana international put up a decent performance during the 3-1 win but his latest injury scare clouded his fine display for the West Africans.

He will further be assessed by the Spanish outfit ahead of their league clash at Espanyol on Sunday.
