Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan scored his second goal of the season for Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League after netting in their 3-1 away victory over bottom placed Changchun Yatai.

The 30-year-old came off the bench to replace Lü Wenjun in the 43rd minute and got his name on the score sheet 17 minutes from time.

Gyan gave his side a cushioning by scoring the third in the 73rd minute.

Brazilian striker Elkeson struck in 6 minutes for Shanghai SIPG before Yan Feng equalized for the home team in the 23rd minute.

Argentine’s Leonardo Conca gave the visitors the lead after 59 minutes before the Ghanaian international announced his presence by scoring in the 73rd minute to snatch well-deserved points for Sven-Goran Eriksson’s side away from home.

The result keeps Shanghai SIPG at third place on the table with 11 points after six matches.
