Kim Grant starts work as Dwarfs technical director

Ex-Ghana striker Kim Grant arrived in the country on Saturday to assume his role as technical director for Ebusua Dwarfs.

Grant has been contracted for a one-year period and tasked to take technical management of the club and also help in rebranding the Ghana Premier League club.

He will work with newly-appointed head coach Prosper Narteh, who has been hired as head coach till the end of the season.

Grant, 43, a native of Sekondi-Takoradi, is the founder of KG International Football Academy (KG-IFA) which was established in the UK in January 2014.

As a player, the Charlton Athletic and Luton Town striker featured for the Black Stars between 1996 and 1997 during Nana Sam Brew-Butler’s era as the FA chairman, and scored one goal in seven caps.

Grant had his first coaching stint as the manager of Conference National side, Woking, in May 2008 but was sacked after picking two points from seven games.

He returned to Ghana in 2009 to form and coach FC Takoradi.
