Group Chief Executive Officer of Databank Group, Kojo Addae-Mensah is calling on Dr. Kwame Kyei for greater transparency in the running of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Kojo Addae-Mensah raised three key things he is expecting Dr Kwame Kyei as the new Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko to do in the coming months in an interview with Kasapa Sports.
According to him letting the key stakeholders of the porcupine fraternity know the true financial position of the club is the first key thing he expects the new Kotoko Boss to do.
“First of all he has to publish the accounts of Kotoko immediately so that the fans will know the financial status of Kotoko, ensure that the fans are aware of the debt of Kotoko. And he needs not end there but he should continue to ensure that after every quarter he publishes the account status of Kotoko”, he stated.
He also added that the technical team should be free from all manner of interference so that they have their peace of mind to implement the plans they have for the club to progress.
“He has to ensure that there is no interference in the technical team he will appoint. He should allow them the free hands to operate”.
The celebrated Banker also touched on the need for the new Kotoko Boss to engage the soul of the club(supporters) to ensure there is no disconnect between the top hierarchy of the club and followers.
“He needs to engage the fans so that they feel part of the club and that he is at the same level with the fans at all times”, he noted.
He also used the opportunity to advice the supporters and other key stakeholders of the club to stop the gossips to Manhyia .
According to him to the new Boss will invest so when he begins to reap his investments in the club the supporters should not start their usual cries of Kotoko money is being squandered by the leaders, a behavior that has brought Kotoko to this level.
Dr Kyei, owner and financier of Unity Group of Companies has already started his operations and is set to name his management team in consultation with Manhyia.
