Gideon Waja swerves Kotoko; set to join South African side

Kumasi Asante Kotoko target Gideon Waja is on the verge of joining an unnamed South African side, Kickgh.com can reveal.

The 19-year-old midfielder emerged as a top transfer target for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing transfer window.

The WAFA young enforcer will be leaving the shores of Ghana in the coming days to complete his switch to the South African club.

"We have received a lucrative offer from South Africa for him [Gideon Waja]" a WAFA official told Kickgh.com

"He will not undergo any trials there, after passing his medical he will put pen to paper."

Waja was also linked to the Dormaa-based club, Aduana Stars and some local clubs.
