Accra, Jan. 7, GNA - The Odorkor branch of the Accra Great Olympics Football Club Supporters Union (Agosu Front Three (3)), has also endorsed the stands of six other branches of the club expressing their disapproval of the appointment of David Fugah and Seth Ankrah as interim Chairman and financial controller respectively.

The supporters said, "The two personalities are financially handicapped and cannot run the affairs of Olympics successfully". A letter jointly signed by the branch secretary Foli Akakpo and the Chairman Timothy Djolet and copied to the GNA Sports described Fugah and Ankrah as arrogant, lack foresight and are likely to derail the entire structures of the club.

"We cannot sit on the fence and watch them hijack the club we love so much", the letter said and called on the head of the Council of Patrons, Nana Addo Dankwa to come out with the names of those to man the club.

The letter said it was wrong for Justice Lamptey, Board Chairman to appoint a secretary to the board, adding that it was against the norm.

The members said, "board members do not appoint fellow members to serve on the board, it is rather the shareholders or the Council of Patrons who have the prerogative to do so".

Subsequently, they said they are rejecting the appointment of Captain Victus Amenyedor (Rtd) as secretary to the board.

The letter urged all supporters of Olympics to come out and condemn the inconsistency to end the "drama" so as to pave the way for the successful 50th anniversary celebration of the club fixed for April, this year.
