Mankessim (C/R) Jan. 14, GNA - The second division league match between Mankessim Borbor Mfantse and Ajumako Kromaim Akyeramfo United played at Mankessim on Monday, ended abruptly in the 74th-minute when United's players walked off the field in protest over a seemingly doubtful penalty.

The score at the time of the incident was 1-0 in favour of Borbor Mfantse.

It all happened when in the 74th-minute class one referee, Jeffery Amamoo, awarded a penalty against United, when a hard-pressed defender fouled an opponent in the penalty area.

Players of United protested vehemently against the decision but the referee stood his grounds.

In another match, Swedru Soccer Rangers beat Winneba Soccer Intellectuals 4-3.
