The aftermath of the disappointing 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) saw Israeli coach Avram Grant parting ways with the Black Stars

Since then the argument over his successor has centred mainly on race with little attention being paid to competence

With the argument still waging on various media platforms and the Six-member committee still undecided on who to appoint, we went to the streets to seek the views of some Ghanaians on the topic Should the next Black Stars coach be a local coach or a foreigner?

Whiles a few Ghanaians made arguments in favour foreign coaches, an overwhelming majority called on the Ghana Football Association to select a Ghanaian for the job with former handler Kwesi Appiah being the pick of a chunk of the interviewees.

They cited reasons such high wages paid to foreign coaches and the fact that Ghana's four AFCON titles were won by Ghanaian technical men to support argument

If the voice of the people is indeed the voice of God, then it will not be out of order to conclude that "God" wants the 6-member committee headed by GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi to hand the job to a Ghanaian specifically coach Kwesi Appiah.
