Fabin has his eyes on the trophy
Black Starlets head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, says his side have targeted winning the Total U-17 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ghana will be aiming for their third Under-17 AFCON title after booking a spot in the semi-final of the ongoing competition being staged in Gabon
After their impressive outing against hosts Gabon in their last encounter, Fabin expressed his delight having secured a spot in the 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup which was their first objective but have now targeted winning the trophy which has eluded Ghana for some time now.
“When we got here, I said my first objective was to qualify for the World Cup. Now that we have it, we are going to put all our efforts into getting to the final and then probably win the Cup which has eluded Ghana for a long time now,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Black Starlets yesterday arrived in Libreville ahead of their last Group A match against Guinea at the Stade de l’Amitié Sino-Gabonaise.
