Mr Felix Ahonzo, Chief Operating Officer of StarTimes Ghana Tuesday said what happened at Dormaa must not be repeated again.

He said they are putting in place measures to avoid a repetition of what happened at Dormaa on Monday, when Aduana Stars locked horns with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Match-day 18 of the Ghana Premier League.

The home supporters of Aduana Stars denied the Ghana Premier league broadcasters, StarTimes, access to the park to telecast the game live.   In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Ahonzo said he does not know the specific reason why the supporters restricted them from telecasting the game, adding that, such attitudes must be eradicated from Ghana football.

“We have the rights to telecast every game and there shouldn’t be any impediment. I do not yet have a comprehensive report and information on the issue and I am coordinating with my production manager, the Premier League Board and the Ghana Football Association to know what happened yesterday and how best we can avoid such situations.

“I am sure by the close of the day my team would present a report on the matter.

“I can’t say we are going to push to get Aduana Stars penalized, we only want to know why they didn’t want us to telecast the game so that we would know how to prevent such things from happening again.

“Our major concern is that we don’t want this to happen again in the league. If we don’t find ways to resolve it the other teams would also do the same in future”, said Mr Ahonzo.
