The leadership of the Professional footballers Association of Ghana have shown support to Kumasi Asante Kotoko who were involved in a nasty car crash last week.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s team bus run into a packed stationery truck carrying fertilizers, leading to the death of equipment officer Mr. Obeng Asare and several players getting injured.
The footballing world has been paying tributes to the team with others visiting and making donations.
A high delegation including general secretary of the Professional footballers association Tony Baffoe and former Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain Yussif Chibsah paid a visit to the injured players and staff.
The contingent sympathized with the club and sent their condolences to the family of Mr. Obeng Asare who died in the tragic accident.
The Ghanaian giants met the accident after their midweek defeat to Inter Allies in the Ghana Premier League.
The injured players have since been discharged from the Okomfo Anokye teaching hospital with Coach Steve Pollack undergoing a successful surgery.
The Porcupine Warriors have however been excused from weekend’s premier league game against arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
